Hope that the warm spring weather is treating you well. I am just starting to come out of hibernation myself & wanted to let you all know about a couple of shows I have coming up this month. : )
First, this SUNDAY, May 5th, I will be playing a set at the Water Hill Music Festival in Ann Arbor at 3:45pm at 1100 Miner St. If you haven't been to Water Hill yet, you don't want to miss this!
"Water Hill Music Fest is a free music festival in Ann Arbor, Michigan featuring residents of the Water Hill neighborhood performing on their front porches for other neighbors and visitors who stroll from house to house from 2 to 6 p.m. on the first Sunday in May. Hundreds of musicians and thousands of visitors participated in 2011's inaugural event."
I will be sharing a set with my good friends Matt & Jess from The Understorey!
Next on May 17th, I will be performing a two-set solo show at The Crazy Wisdom Tearoom at 8:30pm in Ann Arbor. Crazy Wisdom is an amazing listening room environment and one of my favorite places to play in town. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Last but not least, there are still spots available in my Spring / Summer semester MUS 146: Songwriting Class at Washtenaw Community College if any of you were looking to jumpstart your creativity! The class meets Monday & Wednesday from 2 - 4:15pm starting May 13th. This class is always an amazing experience for me as we go together on a journey of self-actualization. We cover a lot of ground including: Songform, Melody, Harmony, Figurative Language & creating a sense of unity within our songs. It's a great way to get yourself into a supportive, creative environment that encourages you to let your light shine! You can sign up here:
See you all soon!
