Beginning Guitar


Grade 9-Adult. BEGINNING Calling all aspiring guitarists. Whether you are a future rock god, jazz cat or campfire strummer, basic fundamentals and a strong foundation in technique is essential. Gain the beginning skills you need to launch your musical dream. Learn chord shapes, strumming patterns and basic music theory that can be applied to almost any style of music. Bring your own guitar. Instructor: Spencer Michaud is an experienced songwriter, performer and teacher. 8 weeks. Pioneer HS: $135

Continuing Guitar: The Music of The Beatles

Grade 9-Adult. CONTINUING Continue to build your guitar skills using the music of The Beatles as a guide in the fall term. Throughout the term, you add different Beatles songs to your music repertoire while you practice and improve your technique. Songs and theme change every term so this class can be repeated. This class is inspired by the creative recovery work of authors like Julia Cameron (The Artist's Way), Sark (Succulent Wild Woman) and the depth psychology of Joseph Campbell and James Hillman.
